Prices are displayed in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise.The price shown at checkout will be the price payable, including any taxes we are required to collect, unless the booking page clearly explains otherwise.Payment is processed through third-party providers such as Stripe. We do not ordinarily receive or store your complete payment-card details.A booking is confirmed only when:
payment has been successfully completed; and
you receive confirmation from us.
We may correct an obvious pricing error before accepting a booking. If payment has already been taken, you will be offered the correct price or a full refund.
Each experience is designed around a small group and may rely on the particular people booked to attend.Before purchasing, please check:
the full price;
all dates and times;
location or approximate location;
accessibility information;
expected activity level;
food and drink arrangements;
age restrictions;
and whether attendance across multiple dates is required.
Where an experience includes several sessions, your booking is for the complete experience unless clearly stated otherwise.Please book only if you reasonably expect to attend all required dates.
Some experiences include a short questionnaire after booking.We may ask about:
interests and reasons for joining;
dietary requirements and allergies;
accessibility requirements;
relevant skills or preferences;
emergency contact details;
and information needed to prepare the experience safely.
Participant curation does not guarantee friendship, compatibility, business opportunities or any particular personal outcome.We may contact you if we reasonably believe the experience may not be suitable for your needs. Where we decide not to confirm your participation, any amount paid for that booking will be refunded.
Manual Mode experiences may be intentionally phone-free.Where this applies, it will be stated before booking. By attending, you agree to follow the phone-free arrangements explained for that experience.You may be asked to:
switch off or silence your device;
place it in an individually identified pouch;
retain the secured pouch or leave it in secure storage;
and avoid photography, recording or phone use during the experience.
You may request access to your device in an emergency.Reasonable arrangements will be made for medical, disability, accessibility and essential caring needs. Please contact us in advance where possible.We will take reasonable care of any device physically accepted into our custody. Nothing in these Terms excludes responsibility where loss or damage results from our failure to exercise reasonable care.
Some experiences include food, snacks, coffee, juice, welcome drinks or alcohol.You must tell us about relevant allergies or dietary requirements by the deadline provided.We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate disclosed requirements, but we cannot promise an entirely allergen-free environment, particularly where food is prepared by external caterers or in a private home.You remain responsible for deciding whether food or drink is suitable for you.Alcohol may only be provided to adults legally permitted to consume it. We may refuse alcohol service where reasonably necessary for safety or legal compliance.Please drink responsibly. Do not drive while impaired.
We want Manual Mode experiences to be as accessible as reasonably possible.Please review the published accessibility and activity information and tell us about relevant requirements before booking or promptly afterwards.You must:
follow reasonable safety instructions;
use equipment responsibly;
disclose anything necessary for safe participation;
and avoid behaviour that puts you or others at unreasonable risk.
Impact Mode and other practical projects may involve physical activity. The product page will explain the anticipated level of activity and any important limitations.You should not undertake an activity that you reasonably believe is unsafe for you.
Bookings for catering or leisure-related services provided on a specific date or during a specific period are generally excluded from the standard statutory 14-day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.Your cancellation and refund rights for a dated experience will therefore be those clearly stated on its booking page and in these Terms, together with any statutory rights that still apply.Unless the booking page states otherwise:
you may request cancellation by emailing [email protected];
a refund will be offered where we are able to fill your place from a waiting list;
transaction fees already charged to us may be deducted only where lawful and clearly disclosed;
bookings cannot be transferred without our written approval;
missed sessions are not refunded individually;
and after a multi-session experience has begun, the booking is normally non-refundable.
We understand that illness and emergencies happen. Please contact us as early as possible.Nothing in this section affects your rights where the service is cancelled, materially changed, misdescribed or not provided with reasonable care and skill.
For distance contracts that are not excluded from the cancellation regime, consumers may generally have 14 days to cancel. Different rules can apply where you ask for a service to begin during that period.
Digital products may include PDF guides, workbooks, audio, video or other downloadable content.Any technical requirements will be stated on the product page.Where you ask us to supply paid digital content immediately, you may be asked to give express consent to immediate supply and acknowledge that you will lose the statutory cancellation right once access or downloading begins, as required by applicable consumer law.This does not affect your rights if digital content is faulty, misdescribed or not supplied as promised.Digital purchases are for personal use unless a commercial licence is expressly included.
We may make reasonable changes where necessary, including changing:
the facilitator;
exact venue within the stated locality;
menu or refreshments;
project details;
timing by a reasonable amount;
or parts of the format.
We will tell you about any material change as soon as reasonably possible.Where a material change significantly alters what you purchased, you may choose between:
accepting the revised arrangement;
transferring to a suitable alternative where available;
or receiving a refund for the affected booking.
We may cancel or postpone an experience because of:
insufficient bookings;
illness or emergency;
venue unavailability;
unsafe conditions;
transport disruption;
partner-organisation changes;
extreme weather;
or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where we cancel an experience and do not provide a suitable alternative, you will receive a refund of the price paid to us for that experience.We are not responsible for separate travel, accommodation, childcare or other personal costs unless the law requires otherwise. Please avoid making non-refundable arrangements where possible.
You must treat hosts, participants, neighbours, suppliers and partner organisations respectfully.We may refuse entry or require someone to leave where they:
behave aggressively, abusively or discriminatorily;
seriously disrupt the experience;
endanger another person;
ignore reasonable safety instructions;
record others without permission;
arrive seriously intoxicated;
or materially breach these Terms.
Where removal results from the participant’s serious misconduct, a refund will not normally be provided.
Manual Mode experiences are not automatically public content opportunities.We will tell you where photography or recording is planned.We will seek appropriate permission before using an identifiable image, recording, quotation or testimonial for public promotion.You must not photograph or record another participant without their permission.The phone-free nature of an experience does not prevent an authorised photographer from documenting it where attendees have been informed and suitable consent arrangements are in place.
Manual Mode content explores personal reflection, connection, creativity, work, technology and everyday life.It is not medical, psychological, financial, legal or other regulated professional advice.You are responsible for deciding whether an exercise, suggestion, discussion or experience is appropriate for you.Nothing on the website guarantees a specific emotional, relational, professional or commercial result.
Our website may link to or rely on third-party services, including Beehiiv, Stripe and social-media platforms.Third parties operate under their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for the content or availability of websites we do not control, although this does not limit any responsibility we have for suppliers acting on our behalf.
We will provide paid services with reasonable care and skill.Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for:
death or personal injury caused by negligence;
fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
breach of statutory consumer rights;
or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to those protections, we are not responsible for losses that:
were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed;
arise from inaccurate information you supplied;
result from your failure to follow reasonable instructions;
or relate to business activities where you purchased as a consumer.
These Terms do not remove or reduce your statutory rights.
We process personal information as explained in our Privacy Notice. Our Privacy Notice explains what information we collect, why we use it, who we share it with, how long we retain it and the rights available to you.
Please contact us first so we have an opportunity to resolve any concern.Email: [email protected]. Please include:
your name;
the relevant booking, purchase or account details;
a clear explanation of the issue;
and the outcome you are seeking.
We aim to acknowledge complaints within five working days and provide a substantive response within 14 working days, although complex matters may take longer.
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to:
our services;
the law;
technology;
suppliers;
or the way Manual Mode operates.
The current version will be published on this page with its effective date.Where a change materially affects an existing paid booking, the terms in force when you booked will normally continue to apply unless the change is required by law or you agree otherwise.
If any part of these Terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.
If we do not enforce a provision immediately, that does not mean we have waived the right to enforce it later.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory protections and bring proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable law.
