We keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected. This may include providing our services, meeting legal and accounting obligations, protecting health and safety, resolving disputes, and establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.UK data-protection law does not set one fixed retention period for every category of personal information. We therefore decide how long to keep information by considering its nature and sensitivity, the reason it was collected, the risks of retaining it, and any legal, tax, insurance or regulatory requirements that apply. We review the information we hold and securely delete or anonymise it when it is no longer needed.Newsletter subscription data is kept for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we may retain a minimal suppression record for as long as reasonably necessary to make sure your opt-out is respected and that you are not contacted again by mistake.Community account and profile data is kept for the duration of your membership. After you close your account, identifiable account information will normally be deleted or anonymised within 90 days, unless limited information needs to be retained for moderation, security, complaints or legal purposes.Community posts and comments may remain available for as long as the community is active or the content remains relevant. After an account is closed, content may be deleted or anonymised, although some material may need to remain where it forms part of a wider discussion or is needed for moderation or legal reasons.Booking, payment and transaction records are normally kept for six years from the end of the financial year to which they relate, or for longer where tax law, an HMRC enquiry or another legal obligation requires this.Contracts and booking correspondence are normally kept for six years after the relevant experience, purchase or contractual relationship ends. This reflects the usual limitation period for claims arising from a simple contract in England and Wales.Event questionnaires and participant-curation information are normally deleted or anonymised within three months after the relevant experience, unless the information is still needed for a follow-up matter, complaint, incident or legal claim.Allergy, accessibility, disability and other health-related information is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed to deliver the experience safely, normally within 30 days after the event. Where an accident, safeguarding concern, complaint or other incident occurs, relevant information may be retained for up to six years, or longer where legally necessary.Emergency-contact information is normally deleted within 30 days after the relevant experience, unless it is required in connection with an incident or other ongoing matter.General enquiries that do not lead to a booking or complaint are normally kept for two years after our last meaningful contact with you.Complaints, disputes and incident records are normally kept for six years after the matter is closed, or longer where legal proceedings, safeguarding obligations, insurance requirements or another important reason makes this necessary.Marketing-consent records are kept for as long as the consent remains valid. After consent is withdrawn, we may retain evidence of the original consent and withdrawal for up to six years where this is necessary to demonstrate compliance. A minimal suppression record may be kept for longer to make sure your marketing preferences continue to be respected.Cookie and consent-preference records are kept for as long as reasonably necessary to demonstrate and honour your choices. We may ask you to refresh your consent where appropriate, particularly if our use of cookies or similar technologies changes.Photographs, video, audio and testimonials are kept for as long as they remain relevant to the purpose for which they were obtained. We review promotional materials periodically and will stop future use where consent is withdrawn, subject to material that has already been lawfully published or printed.Referral-programme records are normally kept for 24 months after the referral or reward has been completed, unless a longer period is needed for fraud prevention, accounting or dispute resolution.Unsuccessful or abandoned bookings are normally kept for 12 months after the booking attempt, unless transaction, fraud-prevention or complaint information needs to be retained for longer.Website, account and security logs are normally kept for up to 12 months, unless they are required for an active security investigation, fraud-prevention matter or legal claim.Personal information contained in backups is deleted or overwritten in line with our normal backup cycle. Information may remain in secure backups for a limited period after it has been deleted from live systems and will not normally be restored except for disaster recovery or security purposes. These periods are guidelines rather than absolute limits. We may delete information sooner where it is no longer needed, or retain it for longer where required by law, tax or accounting rules, insurance requirements, an investigation, a safeguarding matter, a complaint, a dispute or anticipated legal proceedings. At the end of the applicable retention period, personal information will be securely deleted or anonymised so that it can no longer be linked to an identifiable person.
